A-Level Mathematics
About the course
This Level 3 Award, to be completed during Years 12 and 13, builds on knowledge gained in GCSE Mathematics. In your first year of study, you will develop an understanding of topics in pure mathematics, providing the building blocks for all the other modules and branches of maths. The second year will see you build on these pure mathematics topics, covering higher level trigonometry and calculus. You will also continue to extend your understanding of the applications of mathematics in the fields of mechanics and statistics. This course can be studied alongside other A Levels and/or BTEC qualifications.
